If you are a fan of chocolate and orange pairing, then this is the Brownie recipe for you..
- 100 g of butter
- 200 g of dark chocolate ( I used 70%)
- 120 g of white sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of Cointreau (or other orange liquor)
- zest of 2 oranges
- 2 eggs
- 30 g of chocolate powder
- 35 g of flour
Preheat the over at 180ºC. Cover a square cake tin (20×20) with aluminium foil leaving a bit of the foil hanging over the sides of the tin, to make it easier to remove the brownie after baking it, and cover the foil with butter to create a non-stick surface for the brownie. Melt the butter and chocolate in bain-marie. Add the sugar and mix it until it dissolves. Remove the melted mix from the fire and add the vanilla, Cointreau, orange zest, eggs, flour and chocolate powder. Add the mix to the cake tin, flatten the top of the mix with a spatula and bake it for 20 minutes. Make sure that the top doesn’t get burnt, use parchment paper on top if necessary. The brownie should come out of the oven still moist on the interior.
